SWIMMING POOL
The Club’s pride and joy is its distinctive 25-metre rooftop swimming pool, offering a stunning view of the Adyar River and the surrounding greenery. Situated above the main clubhouse, the MBC pool is regarded as one of the finest of its kind in Chennai. With six lanes and a consistent depth of 4.5 feet, it caters to swimmers of all levels and is considered one of the safest in the city.
A sheltered mini pool is also available for young children. The Club periodically conducts coaching sessions for beginners as well as for those looking to improve their swimming skills. Members interested in joining the coaching program are encouraged to contact the pool staff for further details.

GYM
Overlooking the scenic Adyar River, the Madras Boat Club’s gymnasium is spacious and fully equipped.
Fitness is a core value at MBC, with members of all ages using the gym—whether to warm up before a row, build strength and flexibility, or improve cardiovascular endurance.
With experienced trainers on hand to guide and support, the gym is both a source of motivation to kickstart the day and a welcome retreat after a long day’s work.

BILLIARDS
Whether it’s a laid-back afternoon, a late evening game with friends, or a relaxed time with family, our billiards room offers a warm, welcoming ambiance — the ideal place to unwind. Rich wooden interiors, soft lighting, and the timeless charm of a classic table set the stage.
Here, conversations flow as easily as the game, making it the perfect setting to savour the easy camaraderie of a good match.

PICKLE BALL
Pickleball is the paddle sport that’s sweeping our city/country and has evolved into a dynamic, fast-paced sport enjoyed by young and old. As it requires a court about half the size of a tennis court, we decided to build one near the entrance to the club. For the uninitiated, the game can be played in singles or doubles, and is popular due to the ease of play. The rules are simple, and beginners can pick it up quickly.
Members can book their slots and play.
